Summer Time @ Greenery Gardnes

Summer is here and it's all fun & games @ Greenery Gardens.

I spend my days in the pool with my mates.

July 6th was the day I first swam in the deep end and lifted my feet off the ground and managed to keep my nose above the water......just! Since then there has been no going back!

My favorite part of pool time is shooting Stella or Paige with my water gun and making them yell...... such fun! Hannah is not so much fun because she shoots back.

May 2010: The Arrival of Liliana

Liliana, Lily, Lily-Pilly, Missy….whatever you want to call her, the arrival of my sister on 30th May was a big deal.

May 2010: My Third Birthday

Sticking to the transport theme – my favorite subject, I requested Mum to make me a Hong Kong Taxi cake. She obliged! Celebrated this year’s birthday with TWO parties, one on Saturday with my mates at Greenery Gardens, and one on Sunday at Tristian’s House. We share birthdays, so I got 2 cakes! Great deal.

April 2010: Start school @ Sunshine House

In April I got a new school uniform and started taking the bus to school by myself. For the first few months I went 3 days a week, for 3 hours. We sing, play, paint, draw, read and dance. I regularly bring home my art work to be displayed on the fridge. In June my first milestone in academic accomplishment was recognized by a prestigious certificate and photo. You wouldn’t believe the background reading required and stiff competition I face across all subjects including; finger painting, singing nursery rhymes and cardboard cutouts.

December 2009: Christmas in Australia

We spent 3 delightful weeks in Australia with family & friends. We visited Mumu and Ecki on the coast, Tony & Gayl, Great Nan, Shane & Steven in Sydney, and Sylvia in Melbourne. Basically it was 24/7 entertainment for me.

December 2009: Dinners with Mum

Mum changed jobs in December, and I loved having dinner with the whole family. It did mean giving up my position as GM for Landmark Education, and I have been yet to be offered a position on the board for Catalyst Consulting, however dinners with Mum make up for that. Each night Mum is so excited to see me when she comes home – hope it never wears off!

October 2009: Visiting Tony & Gayl

We spent a week at Tony & Gayl’s house where I got to ride on every piece of machinery known to man. I drove the ute, the tractor, the motor bike, the ride on mower and more. Gayl & Tony organized a baby lamb for me to feed, although by the 2 day it got a bit tiresome when the lamb kept crying for more milk, more milk – luckily I was never like that….

May-June 2009: My First Trip to Germany

At the end of May I took a trip to Germany with my Papa. I call it returning to my roots, and for the next year whenever asked, I would say I was from Germany. The trip was great fun. We visited Papas friends and family and attended Ragna’s wedding. I met my cousin Eli and Auntie Imke and Uncle Shane for the first time. I was fussed over a lot, and am particularly fond of Uschi who says I am an extraordinary child (sign of good judgment) and of my namesake Thilo.

May 2009: My Birthday – Turning 2

The highlight of my birthday was a huge Thomas railway set (a year later I still haven’t used all the pieces), a Thomas train cake made by Mum, and a yellow ride on Porsche given to me by Auntie Janet. My Mum and Dad say I got hundreds of presents. I think they are prone to exaggeration but let’s say I tripled my toy collection on my second birthday!

Back to Blogging!

Hello! It’s been a while! 1 year and 8 months since my last update to be exact.

It’s been a busy time and the real motivation for updating my blog has been the arrival of my baby sister Lily. I caught wind that she has started her own blog and is counting firsts, and areas where she has outperformed me!

Before I mention life “after Lily”, let me give you a brief account of the highlights of 2009 and the first part of 2010.

The early part of 2009 was spent settling into life at Greenery Gardens. I started going to Woodlands pre-school 3 days a week in the mornings, and hanging out with the Greenery Gang; Hannah, Page, Stella, Phillip, Gabriel, and Sarafina in the afternoons.
